St. Jude (Ballad of the Lost Sailor)

Oh St Jude, St Jude
Show me the way
I’m lost at sea
And have been for days

If you could
Please point me
Back to the shore
I long to see

Oh St Jude, St Jude
Where should I go
No wind to sail by
No stars that I know

All that I have
Is this boat and the sea
Please bring me a compass
And friendly company

Oh St Jude, St Jude
I fear that I’ll die
One more lost soul
For these waves to hide

What should I do
Which way should I go
The rations have run out
And the nights grow cold

Oh St Jude, St Jude
I pray to thee
Save me from my fate
At this lonely sea

You’re my last chance
Because I’ve come to see
What a hopeless cause
I’ve come to be
